The pigtails are gone.

The Little Miss dress is gone

The cute way she used to talk is gone.

Here stands before me a grown woman.

Boys were knocking at the door,

But they couldn't get to my little girl.

Daddy's little girl found the man of her dreams.

It's time for me to cut the strings.

And wish my little girl all the best that life will bring.
